ACCEPTANCE SPEECH.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH DELIVERED BY THE CHAIRMAN ST PAUL’S UNIVERSITY NAKURU CAMPUS MR SAMSON KIPTUM ON 22/03/2013 AT THE SCHOOL CHAPEL.
Coordinator Nakuru Campus,
Deputy Coordinator
Members of the previous governing council.
Fellow St Paulians.
I stand in front of you a happy man, happy because you have all demonstrated that indeed I am your preferred man the person you have all identified with. I am greatly humbled. I can only thank the Almighty and to everyone is a part and parcel of this.
Winning the chairman seat is just a ticket for me to show you, my fellow students, how we can work together and make the time we have here very memorable. I will work exceptionally hard at fulfilling all the manifestos I made to u and within the spusa objectives that is; promote academic development and intellectual growth of the students, provide for social and physical welfare of the students, maintain, improve and promote warm relationship between students, lecturers and staff of the university and to enhance mutual trust and confidence among them. I will work with integrity and transparency. I will also ensure that your opinions and views of all are met.
Comrades Abraham Lincoln ones said “give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four hours sharpening the Axe” indeed I have spent my six hours sharpening my leadership axe ever since I came here in 2012, I am ready to cut the tree down, the tree of delivering the promise, the tree of acting on what you the students say, the tree of correct leadership and honest representation.
Feel safe in my leadership. Trust that you and I will make St Paul’s a place to always be proud of. Once again it is with sheer exhilaration that I take this position. Thank u. God bless u.

Samson Kiptum
The Chairperson Nakuru Campus.
