I really don't know whether to laugh or sympathize with Prophet Awour Women in this scenario .This afternoon I left the village for Nakuru which I usually use PSV because I have not owned a locomotive apart from the one wheeled wheelbarrow at home.
Matatus today seem to have gone on a strike or just a day when the road is dry.Normally when this case prevails I decide to flag down any locomotive that is going in my direction. After a couple of unsuccessful flag downs one Toyota NZE finally pulled over, I ran after it with my small bag .
"Helo Sir, Iam heading to Nakuru would you kindly accomonate me?"
sure, kindly come inn" replied the driver who was all alone.
Buy the time I had taken the front sit there was a crowd of women who were also asking for transportation.
" They are going to Nakuru and this lady is heading to Nairobi " explained the tout who was definitely going to get something in return.
"I will only take one and that will be the one going to Nakuru" said the Driver.
After the tout pleaded with the driver finally the two Nakuru bound women were allowed inn.
"Aleluyah ooooh I said it! Oooooh I said it!, I told you we Will be provided with !a private car for us only to Nakuru " one of the women told the other in excitement.
What was going through my mind was "really so how did it become your car? " ah! finally we arrived safely in Nakuru and that is where the drama between the real owner of the Car and the car temporary owners.
"How much will you take from us? " one of the woman asked in Nandi.
"Seven hundred each "replied the while standing at the rear left door stretching his hands for the pay.
Ndugu tuanomba tafathali hiyo ni pesa mingi sana" pleaded the women.
"So you think from were I picked you to this place is how much?" The driver asked with a harsh voice.
"Mama harakaisha nimesimama mahali mbaya" he continued.
At that moment I realized the guy was up to something especially the hiking of the fare which usually is kshs 300 on a matatu and 400 pn a personal car. I decided to go mute as I enjoy the drama.
You know that look you give when you are shocked like, what the hell is this!I believe the shock the other woman expressed was just enough to tell you she was not going to part with her money simply because it was their Car.
"Hapana hapana najua hii gari ni yetu, tulipewa itulete hapa, mimi ndugu nahamini unafanya makosa " the defiant woman told the driver.
I was laughing profusely in the inside, so now this guy was risking losing is KBZ to the women. That is how it looked like but on the other hand the guy seem to have prepared well for ther nuisances. So he demanded that they pay.
"Mama sitaki ujinga yenu,Lipa gari, sutaki ubishi wenu sasa" the driver told the women.
After a 10 minutes pull and push the women finally paid the guy, ksh 700 each and finally he breathed a sigh of relieve.
The women were not going to leave without making their statement. They came close to the window and promised the guy that he will be cursed. That now is what I call stupidity, you administer a curse to a guy who is blessed already. Aaaah that was utter nonsense.
I was was to alight about a kilometer from the point of the drama. I decided to break my silence and ask the Dude the reason why he was so hard on the women of God.
"Women of God my foot" he replied with arrogance.
Those are stupid psychopaths who deserved what I did to them. He continue.
I really can't understand why such a humble guy from his looks would bare hatred like that, my alighting point was approaching and I was expecting him to give me another harsh treatment.
"Nashuka hapa Pilot " I reminded my guy who was furious still with the women.
"Sasa wewe utachukuwa ngapi?"I asked him while reaching for my wallet.
"Wewe nipe mia nne " he replied.
I had a 500 hundred note on my right hand already which I gave him. He gave me my 100 bob change .
"Thank you a lot " I told him as I opened the door .
"Karibu" he replied with a smile.
Closed the door and the Dude drove off. As I stood for a moment waiting to cross to the other side of the road I was still not able to comprehend the treatment the guy gave me and that he gave to the women.
One question still hovers over my mind, and that question is what might have caused such a blessed guy to bare hatred to poor women who had decided to leave the village for prayers?
My simple answer is -It is because of their nuisances.
