BIOR AGUEK PAYS GRATITUDE To SPORTS PERSONALITIES In NAKURU CAMPUS

By Brian Ineah Omondi .

Just a day before the 23rd Graduation Ceremony, already a jovial mood was set in Nakuru Campus.
Wednesday 8 October, 2014, is the day a choice to take one of two paths was made by the International Student Affairs Rep: to wait for some special day or to celebrate each special day.
To celebrate a special day it was. Students who took part in the just ended Inter campus games had something to smile despite the fact that Limuru claimed the trophy. New measures are in place, perhaps, this might reverse the situation next round.
To dissect this magnitude, captains from rugby, football, and basketball were present to highlight some of their drawbacks, it emerged that issues such as allocation of allowances to players, participation in major tournaments, proper training by skilled coaches and provision of sport gears and equipments could better address the situation of these sporting activities. The Saturday 27 September games have really been an eye opener to this year's squad, already each team is well composed and well organized.
Nakuru Campus SPUSA leaders were not left out either, led by Samson Kiptum (acting president), Margaret Wangeci (acting chairperson Nakuru Campus) Francis Mburu (Student's Chaplain) and Grace Muiruiri (PR and Communication), promise to work together with the teams to realize more sports personalities in the campus. The matters raised will be facilitated by the acting president.
Later, Bior treated the gathering at Imani Cafe with snacks and hot beverages for a fun-filled moment.
Indeed, At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” Albert Schweitzer —
